Claudia De Lange

As a contemporary Pilates instructor, I believe movement should be both effective and enjoyable. My classes are a full-body experience, blending challenge with play, precision with exploration, and a balance between strength and mobility. Using imagery cues and a good dose of humor, I create a space where everyone—regardless of level—feels empowered to move in a way that works for their body. Rather than striving for perfect alignment or rigid synchronization, I encourage clients to explore movement, find their own ‘wins,’ and discover what strength and control feel like for them. My energy is high, my cues are creative, and my goal is simple: to make Pilates both fun and rewarding, so you leave feeling stronger, more confident, and maybe even smiling.

I teach contemporary Pilates, having trained at Stott Pilates and Nature Pilates in Madrid. My teaching style is gentle yet motivating, always incorporating a good dose of challenge with variations for all levels. I focus on practical corrections to help clients truly feel each movement, empowering them to progress in their practice and enhance their overall well-being.

What I love most about Pilates is its depth—it’s not just about movement but about the powerful connection between mind and body.

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing clients breathe more freely and leave a Reformer session feeling stronger, more aligned, and uplifted.

After over 20 years of experience as a Pilates practitioner, including 5 as an instructor, the Pilates Method has a continuing impact on my life and career as a professional dancer.  Coming from both classical and contemporary Pilates backgrounds, my classes blend tradition with innovation.

My main objective is for you to have a positive, and at times, challenging movement experience. In my classes you can expect creative imagery cues, playful humor, as well as dynamic movement of the entire body. In short, you may pay for the class, but the jokes are always free.

Joseph Pilates said, “You are only as young as your spine is flexible” and I couldn’t agree more. During my class, we will take time to focus on the fluid motion of the spine.

Pilates is a fundamental component of living a healthy and well-balanced life. By the end of my class, you will feel energized, centered, and fortified.

In my classes, the focus is on cultivating safe, effective, and mindful movement. While I emphasize the importance of precision in form when useful, I also acknowledge that every body and every day is different. While I take my work very seriously, I don’t take myself too seriously and I try to make classes enjoyable for newer clients as well as seasoned Pilates practitioners. I want to foster an environment that is fun and focused with respect to each client’s needs. Classes should be intense, but low-impact. You will leave my class with energy, but I love to hear from clients how sore they were the following day!

I love a good workout and feeling energised after class – that post Pilates hum. I use my physiotherapy skill set to ensure each movement is set up properly and will have you shaking in a good way. Who doesn’t love class with a little bit of spice?

There is a level for everyone in my classes with groovy tunes and a nice chill atmosphere. I can’t wait to see you in the studio!

My main goal in class is to help people become more aware of their bodies and to improve their mind-body connection as they build or improve their skills and get more confidence. I like them leaving the studio feeling stronger, happy/fulfilled and challenged. In addition to pilates I teach HIIT, strength, barre and cycling, so I try to incorporate movements/exercises that help clients complement other activities. I use detailed cues and modelling the movements to help clients better understand what they do with their bodies and where they should focus; for clients who are comfortable, I also use hands-on corrections. For me, a pilates class is all about authenticity, balance, community, determination and respect.

As a contemporary STOTT Pilates instructor I like to focus on the details while moving, to find a deeper level of strength and mobility within your own body. With a twist of creativity on the repertoire I like to add some spice, which sometimes means going slow and controlled, other times it means to find rhythm and pace using your breath, or finding more endurance without sacrificing your control.

Using a blend of imagery cues, anatomical cues, verbal and proprioceptive cues (using props or hands-on assists for those who feel comfortable with that) finding that extra challenge for your core. Expect to paint rainbows, avoid ice-cubes, bring your bottom rib to your hip, or hug your core around your spine 😉 and get challenged deeper while we go, using the connection to your body.

Focusing on alignment to enhance strength as well as to (re-) find your mobility, so you leave standing differently on your own two feet.
